The Assam Rifles selects Manipuri polo players

It is an absolute pleasure for me to announce that a group of 6 Manipuri women polo players have been selected by Assam Rifles (a paramilitary segment of the Indian Army). They will form the first women Assam Rifles Polo Team and probably the first Indian Army women’s polo team. The Manipuri polo fraternity worked relentlessly to bring them this employment opportunity especially Huntré Equine - a promoter of women polo in Manipur

My work with the Manipuri women polo players began in 2016 as I became part of the Huntré team along with Somi Roy (Manipur), Cherian Mathai (New York, USA) and Ed Armstrong ( Virginia, USA). Five years of being around numerous international tournaments culminated in my film - Daughters of the Polo God.
